Here comes the snow ...

we had a very christmassy weekend ... and wintery i suppose too. gary typically cuts down his own tree every year, but claims he did not have any time this year (i'll be interested to see how much time he has when we're married and luke and i are living w/ him ... hehe). so, we picked out his christmas tree at a local tree lot. as soon as we got there it the snow started pouring on us. i was sort of hoping i could just sit in the car. but, not so much. we got snowed on and it actually turned out to be pretty fun.

lucas did not like the sound of the chainsaw ... scaredy cat!

lucas has been asking everyone what they want for christmas and making up ideas what he thinks they will want. he is getting my friend michele a bracelet with angels on it, my dad is getting medicine, my mom is getting a picture of lucas and her in the car holding hands (lucas will be drawing that) and gary is getting a cup. he hasn't mentioned any gifts for me. being a mother is a thankless job ... hah! anyhow, it's just really cute because nobody offers it up what they want, he just starts asking them and making up these gift ideas. he's such a sweetie.

also, i let lucas play outside in the snow by himself a little bit and i caught him making a snow angel a few times and getting up to see his lovely art work. then, i saw him sitting in the snow and throwing snowballs in his face. poor little guy ... he needed some friends to play with him. eventually gary did go out and play with him and they made a snow man. i continued to stay inside. hehe ...

here they are decorating the tree. those are my boys. keep up the good work!

Dang, I got a cute kid!

I know I sound obnoxious. But, I just love this pic of Lucas. He looks so sweet and innocent, yet it really shows how much he is growing too. I wish I had combed his hair that day, but I have to be honest. I hardly EVER comb his hair. I'm glad I don't have a girl at this point in my life, I would have no time to do her hair. Anyhow, this is my baby's preschool pic and I wanted everyone to see how grown up he is getting. This little boy is "Da Man!!". I love my little Lukie Dukie!

All Aboard the Polar Express!

This past weekend we we took Lucas on a "Polar Express" Train Ride. This train took us to the North Pole and we saw Santa, his elves, reindeer, Santa's workshop, etc. This was one of the most fun things I've done with Lucas. The kids were so cute in their pjs with their heads glued to the window of the train. It was a 2 hour long train ride, it took about an hour to get to the north pole. In the meantime, the kids had a pj parade, sang songs, heard the Polar Express book read, saw Santa, etc. The funny thing was, is to get on this train ride you have to get in a lottery in September to MAYBE get tickets. Well, Michele and her cousin and their kids all sent in their form separately from us. We got the same night, same train cart, and sat with eachother. It was so so so weird!!! It really made the night even more fun since Lucas had some other kids to play with. Here are our pics.

Happy Halloween

Last night we had a good time trick or treating. Lucas was so excited. It seems every year it gets a little more fun and he gets a little more into it. He was so cute ... we had gone to Gary's dad's house and Lucas was helping pass out candy and began to pass his own out. He asked all the boys and girls what they were dressed up as. And, a few times he would stand up and say to them "Hi, I'm batman. It's nice to meet you" and shake their hand. He's hilarious. Gary wore this silly mullet wig that I had borrowed from my neighbor. Lookin good babe!

This is my cousin Jeanna's little boy. He was the littlest one this year.

I can't believe how big my nephews are now. Their costumes were awesome.

My cousin Jeanna dresses up every year ... she's so funny.

This is Batman (aka Luke) and his best bud Optimus Prime (aka Jameson).

Pumpkin Pickin'

Last weekend, Gary, Lukie, My sister and her kids and myself all went to Circle S Farms. It's pretty fun ... they got the stacks of hay to play on, tunnels, sunflower maze, a haystack maze (for the little kids) ... hay ride, pumpkins, etc. We had a really good time. It was the perfect day to do it too. I am awful with my camera, as you can see. I would never make a good photographer. But, I captured some good moments I think.

Mommy and her baby ... :)

The boys really like to play rough. They were hilarious!

Jameson looks a little lost in the hay maze.
