we took lucas ice skating for the first time. lucas did pretty good. he's kind of top heavy (big head), so he doesn't balance well as more average size kids. hah! but, he had a blast. the ice skating rink was at the zoo, so when we were done we went around and saw all the lights. we had great timing too. when we left there it was extremely crowded and the freeway to get in was backed up for a couple miles!!
christmas was a lot of fun of course. it's so neat to compare lucas from previous years to the current. he has grown so much and speaks like a normal kid now. we spent the 1st half of the day with my family and then went to gary's dad's house. it's so convenient since he lives just down the road from my parents.
for new years eve we went my friend edwina's house. she must've had 10 kids there ranging from 3 months to 14 years old. it was great. the kids had 2 pinatas, all kinds of costumes to try on ... and, the adults were able to have a good time too. we didn't leave until 12:30 am!!! it was a great night.
the rest of the week was spent doing whatever we wanted really. running errands, finishing projects we never have time to do, watching movies, spending time with family. i couldn't have asked for a more peaceful fun week.

And so it goes, I'm probably the only person playing with tinker toys in the world these days, that's 60 years old. Hope Luke makes me something...tell him I'm coming over to see. HA! and I really will if he does something with them.
